Origin: this flower grows on the branches of plum and apricot trees that first originated in China and then later came to Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
Usage: Green maesil plums, that grow on the branches of this tree, are the main ingredient for Korean plum wine as well. You can find Korean plum wine at Korean markets in the liquor section.
